The city of Torrevieja and its environs is located half a hundred kilometers from the provincial capital – city of Alicante. This is a very densely built-up city in which immigrants from all over Europe – there are a lot of Scandinavians, Finns, people from all over the former USSR, English and Germans.

Torrevieja does not shine with a wealth of architectural complexes, there are no chic parks, although there are very good hospitals and clinics. There are large shopping malls and a wonderful marina with numerous yachts. In the vicinity are urbanization for different tastes and budgets. 

 

Sea, sun, and relatively low real estate prices, that’s what attracts here settlers. And at the same time, a good geographical position is near Alicante with its international airport, and to the south – San Javier Airport. Walking from Alicante high-speed trains to Barcelona and Madrid. Excellent motorway network allows during the day hit the road to the city of palm trees – Elche, to Cartagena, to the banks of the Mar Menor, or vice versa – to the mountains north of Alicante and Benidorm.

Of course, you can travel and live in Denia, Calpe, Benidorm, Altea – but real estate there will cost more. On the other hand, it must be admitted that the air north of Alicante is much more pleasant, due to the abundance of Mediterranean pines. But Torrevieja is surrounded by endless citrus plantations… On the other hand, its the salty pink lake also helps provide a very healthy environment.

In general, Torrevieja is an option for those who, within a certain budget, want to be on the shores of the warm sea, where even in the winter season life does not stop to the end, near a big city. It’s easier to deal with the language issue here – on the streets

Torrevieja you will hear a very different speech. There are many places in Spain that are much prettier than Torrevieja. But not all of them affordable. But living in Torrevieja, the amazing Costa Blanca and in general – the whole of Spain.
